I am delighted to welcome you to our school website where I hope you find a range of useful information.
Our ethos at Holmesdale Community Infant and Nursery School puts children at the heart of our learning community; we look to develop the whole child and our school is one in which every person matters. We pride ourselves on the fact that we see each child as unique, with their own strengths and personality. Our dedicated team provide quality care to ensure children are happy, confident and active learners.
We have a high quality learning environment which includes fantastic outside spaces for our children to explore and learn in. Our enriched curriculum stimulates the academic, practical and creative potential of all of our learners, meeting their individual needs.
All members of our talented staff team provide a high quality education where core skills, learning behaviours and a love of learning is promoted within a safe and happy environment. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and visitors to share this commitment.
We believe that working in partnership with parents, carers, governors and the local community is critical to ensuring our success and best outcomes for our children. We encourage parents and carers to get involved in school life in whichever way suits them best, from coming in to volunteer in school or helping out on school trips, to being an active member of our Parent Staff Association (PSA) or taking on a Governor role.
I hope that you will be able to get an insight in to how special our school is from this website, however to see us in action, I encourage you to visit our school when you can.
I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you in person.
Mrs Sharon Mullarkey
We are sorry that we have not to been able to invite prospective and new parents and children to school during these covid-19 times. We are hoping to welcome you into the school soon and will post dates for open mornings once confirmed. In the meantime, please see the link below for a 'virtual open morning'.
